Beyond the basic elements available on myspace (band’s and mine), maybe it’s more interesting write down on this site what Silence Please mean to me. I began composing since I started studying music, both improvising and with pentagram in hand, but certainly since I began playing with Mario and Alessandro (in our heads we knew that we were going to play with Luca, even if he wasn’t with us yet…) things changed. A lot. I can’t deny that part of this change was due to the fact that I was at the end of adolescence, but I would be unfair to my mates if I wouldn’t recognize the starring role they had. Sharing this experience with these musicians led me to dare, to go beyond what I usually hear: I can rely on them if I write a song which is a bit rock but needs a jazz rhythmic section, with unusual metric line and bossa nova harmonies. And if I want to play a noise solo, I can do it. That’s it: Mario, Alessandro and Luca gave the freedom to do what I feel inside of me, to dare (I repeat myself, I know) and to do something original. The rest, I leave it all to you.
